Joanne was born and raised in Sidney on Vancouver Island, BC. She caught fishing fever at the tender age of five.
  Joanne started guiding at the age of sixteen for a lodge called Nahmint Lodge in Port Alberni Canal, on Vancouver Island. Then ten years for Harrison Cove Lodge in Barkely Sound(Vancouver Island, BC). She has been lucky enough to be a part of some winning derby teams, totalling over
$30.000.
  Joanne specializes in salmon and halibut and has been freshwater fishing for steelhead and trout for the past seventeen years. She is currently taking people out in their own boats and giving them private lessons on how to catch salmon and halibut, apart from her guiding duties.
